The Women Empowerment & Grievancence Cell of Milagres College, in collaboration with IQAC,
organized a session on Understanding Do's And Don'ts for personal safety on 22 August 2025 in the
college auditorium at 10:00 AM. The session aimed at creating awareness among girl students about their
rights, safety, and responsibilities, while also guiding them on personal development, self confidence, and
grievance redressal mechanisms. The program aimed to empower students with knowledge, instill
confidence to face challenges, promote gender sensitivity, and ensure a safe and supportive campus
environment. The Resource Person of the event was Mrs. Anju Thomas, Counselor
Mrs. Anju Thomas, Counselor conducted the session and addressed key issues related to women
empowerment and safety. She emphasized the importance of self-confidence, personal development, and
grievance redressal mechanisms available in the institution. Ms. Thomus also highlighted the significance
of communication skills, mental well-being, and self-awareness for overall growth. A special focus was
given to college rules and regulations that girl students must follow for discipline and safety on campus.
The interactive session encouraged students to ask questions, clear doubts, and actively participate.
Overall, the program served as a platform to guide, motivate, and empower girl students towards
becoming more responsible and confident individuals.
A total of 190 students actively participated in this session. Ms. Fathimath Shaheema extended a warm
welcome to the gathering, while Ms Shaheema efficiently compered the event. The program concluded
with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Harsha, event coordinator, acknowledging the contributions of all
involved.
