The session emphasized that menstruation is a natural and healthy process and addressed common myths and facts related to menstruation. Students were also given awareness about breast cancer symptoms and early indications, along with information on the importance of the HPV vaccine.
The talk highlighted proper menstrual hygiene practices, including the correct use of sanitary pads, maintaining cleanliness, responsible use of washrooms, and the proper disposal of used pads through the sanitary-pad incinerator. Students were also guided on appropriate behaviour and decency within the college campus.
The session addressed ragging and its consequences, stressing the importance of maintaining a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for all students.
The programme was informative and useful in creating awareness about women’s health, menstrual hygiene, personal responsibility, safety, and dignity among the students.
