Milagres College, Mangaluru, in association with ICYM Mangalore Diocese and Mangalore Runners Club, successfully organized “Apex Run 2026” on 10th May 2026 at the Milagres College Campus, Mangaluru. The mega marathon event was organized with the objective of promoting fitness, health awareness, youth engagement, and community participation among students and the public.
The event witnessed an overwhelming response with a total participation of 1450 runners from various educational institutions, organizations, fitness groups, and the general public. The event was also supported by more than 120 volunteers who actively contributed towards registrations, route management, hydration support, participant coordination, hospitality, logistics, and overall event execution.
The program was presided over by Rev. Fr. Bonaventure Nazareth, Correspondent, Milagres Institutions. The Chief Guest for the event was Msgr. Lawrence Maxim Noronha, Vicar General of Mangalore Diocese.
The event was also graced by Rev. Dr. Fr. Alwyn Serrao, Principal and Campus Director of Milagres College; Fr. Ashwin Lohith Cardoza, Director of ICYM Mangalore Diocese; Mr. Vijoy Ashwin Cardoza, President, ICYM Mangalore Diocese; Event Coordinator Mr. Clyde Adams Dsouza; and Student Coordinator Mr. Floyd Vincent Pinto.
The marathon activities commenced at around 5:20 AM with an energetic Zumba warm-up session conducted for all participants at the Milagres College Campus. Following the warm-up session, the official flag-off ceremony was conducted by the Chief Guest Msgr. Lawrence Maxim Noronha.
The zumba session was taken by Mrs. Hardika Shetty, DJ by DJ Vajra and the program was compered Mr.Floyd Vincent Pinto.
The 10 KM Run was flagged off at 5:40 AM, followed by the 5 KM Run at 5:50 AM and the 3 KM Run at 6:00 AM.
The event was conducted smoothly with proper route management, hydration support, volunteer coordination, medical assistance, ambulance services, and police support throughout the marathon route.

The winner of the Reels Making Competition was Ms. Lavita Vas.
The Lucky Bib Number Winner was Shravan (Bib No. 10169).
The Special Trophy for the organization with the highest number of participants was awarded to Mangalore Runners Club for registering 75 participants.
All participants received official event T-shirts, bib numbers, finisher medals, refreshments, and race support.
The organizers expressed heartfelt gratitude to all sponsors, volunteers, teaching and non-teaching staff members, police personnel, medical teams, participants, and supporting organizations for contributing towards the grand success of the event.
Apex Run 2026 concluded successfully with the message “Run Beyond Limits,” encouraging people to adopt a healthy and active lifestyle while strengthening community engagement through sports and fitness activities.
