An industrial visit was organized by the Department of Computer Application to Spectrum Softtech Solutions, located in Kochi, Ernakulam, Kerala, on 02 February 2026, with the objective of providing students practical exposure to the workings of the IT industry.
A total of 48 students from Department of Computer Application, III BCA and III BCAAIML, accompanied by 4 faculty members, participated in the visit. The program included a guided tour of the facility, interaction with industry professionals, and a Q&A session, offering students valuable insights into real- world practices and operations.
The students gained valuable exposure during their visit to Spectrum Softtech Solutions Pvt. Ltd. Upon arrival, the students and faculty members were warmly welcomed by the organization’s training team. The
session began with a brief introduction to the company, its services, and its contributions to the IT industry. The representatives explained how the organization provides IT solutions, software development services, and professional training programs for students and professionals. The main highlight of the visit was an informative session on the DevOps Lifecycle. During this session, the resource person explained
the importance of DevOps in modern software development. Students were introduced to the various stages of the DevOps lifecycle, including planning, development, continuous integration, testing, deployment, and monitoring. The speaker also discussed how DevOps practices improve collaboration between development and operations teams, enhance efficiency, and enable faster and more reliable software delivery.
