NCC CAMP REPORT
This report is submitted as an account of the NCC Camp attended by four cadets of Milagres College, Hampankatta, Mangaluru. The camp was conducted from 22 July 2026 to 31 July 2026 at MITE College, Moodabidri. The participating cadets were:

3. Cdt. Sheldon Fernandes
4. Cdt. Aaron Pais
Day 1 – Registration and Allotment
The camp began on 22 July 2026 with the arrival of cadets at MITE College, Moodabidri. On the first day, all cadets completed the registration and biometric verification process. After successful registration, cadets were divided into different companies, and we were allotted to Charlie Company. The day concluded with introductory instructions regarding camp discipline and schedule.
Day 2 – Commencement of Training
From the second day onwards, the camp followed a strict and disciplined routine. The day started early at 5:30 a.m., followed by fall-in at 6:00 a.m. On the morning of the second day, a welcome ceremony was held, after which a session on cyber security was conducted by Lt Col Rohith Prakash Rai. After breakfast, various training sessions were conducted, including map reading, rifle handling, and drone training. Lunch was served at 12:30 p.m. In the afternoon, academic and practical classes were conducted from 2:00 p.m. onwards. The day ended with evening fall-in at 6:00 p.m., followed by the NCC song and National Anthem. Dinner was served at 7:30 p.m., and cadets were given rest time at 10:00 p.m.
Day 3 to Day 6 – Regular Training Schedule
From Day 3 to Day 6, the same disciplined routine continued with regular drill practice, physical training, and specialized sessions. Cadets actively participated in all activities, improving their endurance, coordination, and discipline. The training sessions also included leadership tasks and team-based exercises that enhanced cooperation among cadets.
Day 7 – Firing Camp
On the 7th day, Charlie Company participated in the firing camp. All four cadets took part with enthusiasm and discipline. The firing practice provided practical experience in handling rifles and emphasized the importance of safety, focus, and accuracy during shooting exercises.
Day 8 – Company-wise Photoshoot and Basketball Competition
On the morning of the 8th day, a company-wise photoshoot was organized. Cadets participated in the photoshoot according to their respective companies. Later, a basketball competition was conducted among the companies. Cpl. Ashish Menezes led the team with strong performance and coordination. Through teamwork and determination, Charlie Company emerged as the winners of the basketball match.
Day 9 – Drill Competition, FCBC Activities and Cultural Programme
On the 9th day, a drill competition was conducted in the morning. Cpl. Ashish Menezes acted as the Contingent Drill Commander as well as the Guard of Honour Drill Commander. Cdt. Naveen Pinto, Cdt. Sheldon Fernandes, and Cdt. Aaron Pais actively participated in the drill competition.
Cdt. Naveen Pinto and Cdt. Aaron Pais also participated in FCBC (Field Craft and Battle Craft) activities. These sessions provided training in field movement, survival techniques, camouflage, and tactical awareness in simulated combat conditions. Cdt. Naveen Pinto, Cdt. Sheldon Fernandes, and Cdt. Aaron Pais also took an active part in mess duty. In the evening, the cultural programme was conducted from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Cpl. Ashish Menezes participated in the group dance competition, and the team secured the runners-up position, showcasing good coordination and performance.
Day 10 – Closing Ceremony
On the final day, biometric verification and formal closing procedures were completed. The final fall-in was held at 8:00 a.m., after which the cadets were called by number to collect their camp certificates. After the certificates were collected, packed lunches were provided to the cadets to carry home.
