The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Milagres College, Hampankatta, Mangaluru, in association with the National Service Scheme (NSS), organized an NSS Orientation Program on 16th October 2025 at 1.00 p.m. in the college auditorium. The program commenced with a welcome address delivered by Mr. Joel Merwin Mascarenhas, NSS Program Officer, who welcomed the Resource Person, Principal, staff, and the newly enrolled NSS volunteers.
The Resource Person, Mrs. Seema Prabhu S, NSS District Nodal Officer, Dakshina Kannada, addressed the gathering and enlightened the students on the objectives, motto, and importance of the National Service Scheme. She inspired the students to actively participate in various NSS activities that promote social responsibility and community development.
The Principal, Rev. Dr. Alwin Serrao, in his message, emphasized the role of youth in nation- building and appreciated the efforts of the NSS Unit in organizing the event. The program
was compeered by Ms. Naheema of I B.Com, who efficiently conducted the proceedings. The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Mr. Megharaj of I BBA, who expressed gratitude to the
Resource Person, Principal, staff, and participants for making the program successful.
The session concluded with the NSS volunteers taking an oath to dedicate themselves to the ideals of the National Service Scheme.
