Onam was celebrated with great joy and festivity on 13th September 2025 at the college grounds from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM. The program began with the distribution of traditional sweet payasam to all students and staff, setting the festive mood for the day.
The celebration included a variety of cultural and recreational activities that highlighted the essence of Onam. Students presented vibrant dance performances, which were greatly appreciated by the audience. Exciting games were organized for both staff and students, adding fun and laughter to the event. A major highlight of the program was the grand royal entry of King Maveli, accompanied by the rhythmic beats of the traditional chende and decorated vehicles. The students enthusiastically joined in the procession, dancing along with
the chende, which created an atmosphere of cultural richness and festivity.
Another special attraction was the Vadamvali (Tug of war), conducted department-wise for students. The winners of the event were awarded banana bunches, reflecting the traditional style of honouring champions during Onam.
The Onam celebration successfully reflected the rich cultural essence of Kerala, while fostering unity and joy among the college community.
