● To assign and practise specific event roles such as MC, staff coordination, and student coordination.
EVENT PROCEEDINGS
The Potluck event, organised by the Department of Hospitality Science in association with the Hospitality Association
of Milagres College, was conducted on 31st July 2026 (Friday) from 2:50 PM onwards at the Service Lab, as part of the Event Management practical class for 3rd year BHS students.
As part of the practical exercise, each of the 26 participating students prepared a dish of their choice and shared it with their respective classmates, in keeping with the spirit of a potluck gathering. The event proceedings were anchored by Mr. Floyd Pinto, who served as the Master of Ceremony, while Mr. Clyde Adams D’Souza coordinated the event staff and Mr. Chethan Menezes managed student-side coordination, ensuring smooth execution of the activity. Mr. Denzil D’Costa, HOD of the Department of Hospitality Science, and Mr. Roshan Coelho graced the event,
Faculty of the Department, as guests of honour. Their presence encouraged the students and reinforced the academic
significance of the exercise.
Students actively participated in bringing, labelling, and sharing dishes with their classmates, in line with the potluck
guidelines communicated ahead of the event, which emphasised bringing a favourite dish in adequate quantity to share, labelling dishes where necessary, and contributing to a positive, collaborative atmosphere.
