The Eco and Life Science Association of Milagres College organized a Classroom Cleanliness Initiative
to promote hygiene, discipline, and proper maintenance of academic spaces. The programme was
conducted from 10 December 2025 to 11 April 2026, involving the active participation of 15 lecturers
who evaluated classroom conditions in a systematic rotational schedule carried out over 15 days at
different intervals. A total of 20 classrooms were assessed using a structured 50-mark evaluation system,
which included parameters such as wall condition, floor hygiene, cleanliness of curtains and window
racks, personal hygiene of students, and overall class discipline. Each lecturer was assigned specific
classrooms and given adequate time to complete the assessment, ensuring a fair and consistent evaluation
process.
The initiative encouraged students to take responsibility for maintaining a clean and disciplined learning
environment, thereby fostering awareness about hygiene and collective accountability. Based on the
cumulative scores obtained during the evaluation, 2nd FND secured the 1st place, while 3rd FND secured
the 2nd place, demonstrating exemplary commitment towards cleanliness and discipline. The programme
was successful in enhancing the overall classroom environment and instilling sustainable habits among
students, contributing to a more organized and conducive academic atmosphere within the institution
