On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, a cleaning drive was organised by the NCC Unit of Milagres College on 1 October 2026 at 2:00 p.m. in and around the college premises, in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). The initiative aimed to promote cleanliness, civic responsibility, and community service among the cadets and students.
The drive was conducted under the guidance of ANO Lt. Denzil Pinto, with the presence of Assistant CTO Ms. Frencita Menezes. Around 25 students participated in the activity with enthusiasm and teamwork. The volunteers were divided into groups and assigned different areas of the college premises and surrounding areas. They carried out cleaning activities and collected waste to improve the cleanliness and overall appearance of the campus. The students worked together responsibly and contributed to maintaining a neat and hygienic environment.
The activity encouraged students to develop a sense of responsibility towards their surroundings and understand the importance of cleanliness in everyday life. It also provided an opportunity for students to contribute to the well-being of the college community through collective effort.
The initiative promoted environmental awareness and civic responsibility among students and served as a meaningful tribute to Mahatma Gandhi’s ideals of cleanliness and community service.
