The Cultural Association of Milagres College, in collaboration with IQAC, organized a celebration on
Dasara Piligobbu on 30 September 2025 in Milagres Ground at 02:00 PM.
The college organized a special programme to celebrate the festival of Dasara with great enthusiasm and
cultural spirit. The event had a fusion performance of beat boxing and dance by student of Milagres College.
The main attraction of the event was Pili Nalike(Tiger dance).
Mrs. Mamatha addressed the gathering and spoke about the importance and history of Dasara,
explaining how it symbolizes the victory of good over evil and the cultural values associated with the
celebration. Following her address, the Principal, Dr. Alwyn Serrao, delivered a speech emphasizing the
rich cultural heritage of Mangalore and the importance of preserving traditional values in modern times. He
also extended his warm wishes to all Hindu students and staff on the occasion of Dasara. The programme
concluded with expressions of joy and togetherness, reflecting the spirit of unity and festivity that Dasara
represents. A total of 670 students actively participated in this celebration.
