Milagres College, in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), organized a Faculty Enrichment Programme on 29th June 2026 at 9:30 a.m. in the College Conference Room. The programme was conducted to enhance the professional competencies of the teaching faculty through an insightful session on "Business Etiquettes, Civic Sense and Emotional Intelligence. “The programme commenced with a warm welcome by Mrs. Chethana Kumari, IQAC Coordinator who greeted the gathering and emphasized the importance of continuous professional development for educators.
The resource person for the session was Rev. Dr. Alwin Serrao, Principal and Campus Director, Milagres College, Mangalore. In his engaging and thought-provoking address, he highlighted the significance of maintaining professional business etiquette in educational institutions, cultivating civic responsibility, and developing emotional intelligence to foster healthy interpersonal relationships and an effective work environment. He elaborated on the importance of professional conduct, respectful communication, ethical behaviour, punctuality, teamwork, and leadership qualities in an academic setting. He also encouraged the faculty members to nurture empathy, self-awareness, emotional resilience, and social responsibility, enabling them to become effective educators and role models for students.
The interactive session witnessed enthusiastic participation from the faculty members, who actively engaged in discussions and reflected on practical ways to incorporate these values into their personal and professional lives. The programme proved to be highly enriching, offering valuable insights into personality development, workplace ethics, and emotional well-being. The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Mrs. Anju Elsa Thomas, Staff Welfare Officer.
