Fee Refund Policy

In compliance with the directives of the University Grants Commission (UGC)/Government of Karnataka/ Mangalore University, Milagres College has adopted a comprehensive fees refund policy that ensures fair and transparent refund practices.

Objective of Policy

The Fees Refund Policy defines the rules, regulations, and timelines under which students may be entitled to a partial or full refund of tuition fees upon withdrawal from their program. It is applicable to all students seeking admission to any UG program offered by the college.

Jurisdiction

This policy applies to all UG programs, admissions conducted under Milagres College. The refund regulations are governed by the rules set by the UGC, Government/ University, and if UG program any future amendments or updates will be incorporated into the policy.

Procedure to be followed

  • Submission of Withdrawal Request for withdrawal of admission as per the guidelines.
  • Students must submit a written application for withdrawal of admission to the college office, in person.
  • The application must clearly mention the reason for withdrawal and the date of Admission.
  • Along with the withdrawal application, students must submit the Fee Refund Request Form and attach supporting documents (like receipts etc,).
  • The refund request will be reviewed by the Finance Office. The final decision will be taken by the management, in consultation with the Principal and Refund Policy Committee members.
  • Eligible Refund request will be processed and disbursed within 30 working days of approval of the request. Refunds will be issued through cheque.

Refund Categories:

As per the UGC guidelines, the refund will be provided based on the following categories:

2 90% Less than 15 days before the formally notified last date of admission by the government/University
3 80% 15 days or less after the formally notified date of admission by the government/University
4 50% 30 days or less but more than 15 days after the formally notified last date of admission by the government/University
5 0% More than 30 days after the formally notified last date of admission by the government/University

SMS & APP SERVICE

With a view to ensure quick dissemination of information and communication, the College has the facility of sending messages through SMS and App Services.

LIBRARY/READING ROOM

The College has a full-fledged spacious library with a stack of more than 7700 books and a reading room with E-Library and INFLIBNET facility.

LAB FACILITIES

The well equipped laboratories of the departments of Hospitality Science and Food, Nutrition and Dietetics serve as effective incubation centres of the College.

HOSTEL

The College provides boarding and lodging facilities for the students from distant locations and for those who need accommodation in the College hostels.

MENTORING & COUNSELLING

The College pays special attention to the mental and spiritual wellbeing of our students. A full-time qualified counsellor is on roll to look after the mental and psychological health of the students.

PARENT TEACHER ASSOCIATION

Parent Teacher Association is a great source of strength to the College in improving the quality of discipline and students’ development.
