The NSS unit of the college had 120 hours of activities for the volunteers for year 2023 – 24.

The inauguration of NSS activities for the academic year 2023 -24 on September 22.0, 2023.

Various days of National importance was celebrated by the unit namely, Independence Day, Republic Day, Martyr’s Day, Ambedkar Jayanti, World Environment Day, International Yoga Day, Sadbhavana Divas, Human Rights Day, World No Tobacco Day, National Voter’s Day, Constitutional Day etc.

One day cleanliness drive was taken up at Sulthan Battery on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. On Independence Day, Swacchata Abhiyan was conducted around Hampankatta premises. A plastic free campus drive was conducted in the college. The unit conducted a signature campaign against usage of tobacco products on World No Tobacco Day and they went around in the city spreading awareness about the same.

National Youth Week was celebrated commemorating the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda and various activities like talks, quiz, wealth out of waste competitions etc were held.

The volunteers participated in different activities and fests organised by Govt. organisations like National Youth Conference, Puneeth Sagar Abhiyan, Azadi Ka Amruth Mahotsav Program, Amrutha Bharatige Kannada da Arathi March, Anti Human Trafficking Workshop, Srujana NSS Fest, Eunoia Fest.

Guest lecture on Yoga, Webinar on Ambedkar Jayanti, Webinar on POCSO Act was organised. The volunteers were trained regarding ABHA generation and EPIC generation.

All the volunteers actively participated in the activities.

With a view to ensure quick dissemination of information and communication, the College has the facility of sending messages through SMS and App Services.

The College has a full-fledged spacious library with a stack of more than 7700 books and a reading room with E-Library and INFLIBNET facility.

LAB FACILITIES

The well equipped laboratories of the departments of Hospitality Science and Food, Nutrition and Dietetics serve as effective incubation centres of the College.

The College provides boarding and lodging facilities for the students from distant locations and for those who need accommodation in the College hostels.

MENTORING & COUNSELLING

The College pays special attention to the mental and spiritual wellbeing of our students. A full-time qualified counsellor is on roll to look after the mental and psychological health of the students.

Parent Teacher Association is a great source of strength to the College in improving the quality of discipline and students’ development.
