The Gender Equity – Women Cell in association with IQAC has organized the inaugural program of the Sanitary napkin vending machine and incinerator on May 31, 2024 at 3pm. Milagres College is an institution which has high concern about the female staff and students. With this background, South India Bank, Mangalore Branch under its CSR Fund had sponsored Sanitary Napkin vending machine and incinerator. Mr. Kiran Francis, Cluster Head, South Indian Bank and Mr. Vinu Mohan, Branch Manager, South India Bank, Mangalore branch were the inaugurators. They asked two female students of the college to cut the ribbon and inaugurate the machines. Mr. Kiran Francis in his speech expressed delight to be a part of this venture. He appreciated the staff and management of Milagres College for planning such ventures. He also assured that South India Bank will always support the College and its upcoming plans. Mr Vinu Mohan, Branch Manager appreciated the previous Manager Mr. Manoj during whose term this plan was executed. He also assured continued support from the bank. Rev Fr Michael Santhumayor thanked them for their generous sponsorship. Rev Fr Bonaventure Nazareth, Correspondent, Milagres Educational Institutions, Rev Fr Joseph Uday Fernandes, Principal, Milagres Central School, Ms. Shravya N, Women Cell co-ordinator, Ms Amin Deepa, Secretary, Women Cell were present. A total of 167 girls along with 30 staff members will be benefitted from this venture.
