The inauguration ceremony of the Student Council and College Associations at Milagres College, Mangalore, was held on August 30, 2024, in the college auditorium. The event marked the beginning of a new academic year with a focus on student leadership and community engagement. Prof. U. T. Ifthikar Ali, National Commission Chairman of the Allied and Healthcare Council and Karnataka Syndicate Member of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (R. G. U. H. S.), was the chief guest of the event. In his address, Prof. U. T. Ifthikar Ali emphasized the importance of collective effort in harnessing the true potential of students. He spoke about the need for society to foster interest in various fields for the benefit of youth, encouraging them to be more engaged in reading and learning. On this occasion, Prof. U. T. Ifthikar Ali was felicitated by the organization. The Principal of the college, Rev. Dr. Fr Michael Santhumayor, administered the oath of office to the newly elected student leaders and other office bearers. Presiding over the ceremony, Rev. Fr. Bonaventure Nazareth, Correspondent of Milagres Educational Institutions, extended his best wishes to the new office bearers of the Student Union. The ceremony was graced by several esteemed guests, including members of the Milagres Management Board, Mr. Maxim Montero, Mr. Ajit Lobo, Governing Council Member, and Mr. Denzil E Pinto, Student Welfare Officer as well as office bearers Ms. Juhi, President and Mr. Mohammad Shafiq, Secretary The program commenced with a welcome address by Rev. Dr. Fr Michael Santhumayor, the Principal of the college. Ms. Shravya N., Assistant Prof compered the event, while Mrs. Chethana, Lecturer and IQAC Coordinator, delivered the vote of thanks.
