WORLD CLEANUP DAY
The
Eco and Life Science Club at Milagres College celebrated World Cleanup Day on
September 20, 2024, from 3:50 PM to 4:30 PM during the EC/CC hour. A total of 20
volunteers from the Eco Club actively participated in the cleanliness drive.
The focus of the event was to raise awareness about pollution, especially
plastic waste, and to promote sustainable waste management practices.
Volunteers divided into three groups to enhance efficiency and cover the
college garden and surrounding areas. The plastic cleaning drive was a
significant aspect of the event. The Eco club’s efforts align with the broader
goal of creating a healthier, friendlier, and cleaner future for our planet.
Ms. Krishnaveni Deshpande of II FND, Secretary of Eco and Life Science Club and
Ms. Shaila Moras, the faculty in-charge of the Eco Club, led the volunteers throughout
the cleanliness activity.
