NSS DAY CELEBRATION
The NSS unit of Milagres College, Mangalore
celebrated NSS Day on 27, September 2024, in the college Auditorium. NSS Day is
celebrated on September 24 every year to mark the launch of the National
Service Scheme (NSS) in 1969 the birth centenary year of Mahatma Gandhi, Father
of the Nation. Mr. Tenzil Dsouza,
the NSS Unit leader highlighted the significance of NSS DAY as a moment to honour and celebrate the efforts of every volunteers
in working towards the well-being of everyone in their community. Mr Abdul
Keefa, a 2nd year Bcom student, compeered the program, Mr. Alwin D Souza,
Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at St. Aloysius
Deemed to be University, graced the event as a guest of honor. The event was attended by 75 NSS volunteers, along with the Nss Programme officer, Asst.Programme
officer, Principal and staff members.
