Milagres College, Hampankatta, Mangaluru, inaugurated the National Service Scheme (NSS) for the academic year 2024-25 with a formal ceremony by lighting the lamp in the college auditorium on 27th September at 3:30 PM. The event was organized in collaboration with the college's Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). Mr. Alwin D Souza, Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at St. Aloysius Deemed to be University, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. In his address, Mr. DSouza emphasized the importance of community service and encouraged students to actively participate in NSS activities to develop leadership skills and social responsibility. Ms Anusha Read out the report of the previous year. The event was presided over by Rev. Dr. Michael L. Santhumayor, Principal of Milagres College, who, in his presidential address , highlighted the significance of discipline and social concerns among the volunteers. Mr. Joel Mascarenhas, NSS Program Officer Ms Shravya Asst. Nss officer, NSS unit Secretaries Ms Anusha II Fnd and Ms Tenzil II Bcom were present on the dais. The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks, followed by the national anthem. Mr Abdul Keefa 2nd Bcom compeered the program Mr Razee welcomed the gathering and Mr Joslin Valder proposed vote of thanks.
