The Annual Sports Meet of Milagres College was inaugurated on December 5 at Mangala Stadium. Dr. Amar Sunil Lobo, Professor of Microbiology at Yenepoya Medical College, inaugurated theevent by handing over the sports torch to the sports captain. In his address, he highlighted that the field of sports fosters willpower, concentration, and a competitive spirit. He emphasized thatsuccess is possible only through consistent hard work and that failure is not the end but rather a stepping stone to success. He also stated that those excelling in sports have numerous opportunities in the academic field as well. Vijayalakshmi, PTA president of the college, remarked that sports aid in physical and mental development, enhancing courage and adventurous qualities. Rev. Fr. Bonaventure Nazareth, the Correspondent of the Milagres Educational Institution,wished the athletes success. A parade by the students marked the event. The program was graced by the presence of Rev. Fr. Dr. Michael Santumayor, Principal of Milagres College; Rev. Fr. Uday Fernandes, Principal of Milagres Central School; Mr. MelwynVas, Principal of Milagres PU college and other faculty members.Lecturer Glancy Fernandes welcomed the gathering, Physical Education Director Aakash Shetty proposed the vote of thanks, and Lecturer Chaitra compeered the event.
