The NSS unit of Milagres College, Mangalore, in association with Internal Quality Assurance cell celebrated Sadbhavana Divas on August 22, 2024, in the college auditorium. This day, observed annually on August 20, commemorates the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. Known as "Sadbhavana Divas" or "Harmony Day," the event aims to promote national integration, peace, affection, and communal harmony among people of all religions in India. Mr. Denzil E. Pinto from the Department of Commerce served as the resource person for the program. He highlighted the significance of embracing diversity and working towards a more inclusive society, urging everyone to uphold the values of compassion and mutual respect in their daily lives. His message emphasized that building a harmonious nation begins with individual efforts to understand and appreciate each other's differences. Mr. Joel Mascarenhas, the NSS Programme Officer, administered the oath to the participants. The session was attended by Ms. Shravya N., Assistant NSS Programme Officer, IQaC coordinator Ms Chethana and 44 NSS volunteers. Mr. Shakib from II BCA welcomed the gathering, while Mr. Tanzil proposed the vote of thanks, and Ms. Anusha compeered the program.
