The Library Club, in association with IQAC, celebrated National Librarians Day and organized a one-day Book Exhibition on March 20, 2025, at the College Library. The inauguration of the Book Exhibition was held at 10:00 a.m. The Chief Guest for the day was Ms. Shravya N., Assistant Professor, Department of Hindi. Other dignitaries present on the dais included Rev. Fr. Michael Santhumayor, Principal of Milagres College, Mrs. Chethana K., IQAC Coordinator, Ms. Pramila D'Souza, Librarian, and Ms. Leesha, student representative. In her address, the Chief Guest emphasized the importance of reading and encouraged students to cultivate the habit of reading more books. She said, “Books become our best friends if we spend time with them. They are a source of immense knowledge, and a library plays a vital role in a student’s life. Hence, students should make the best use of it.” Delivering the presidential address, Rev. Fr. Michael Santhumayor also urged students to make effective use of the library and read more to enhance their knowledge. Royston of I BBA welcomed the gathering and compered the program, while Merwyn Pinto proposed the vote of thanks. After the formal inauguration, students explored the exhibition and viewed the wide range of books on display. Around 2,000 books were exhibited, and 74 students participated in the event.
